One Militants has been killed during an encounter that started between militants and government forces in the Aharbal area of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district.
An official told The Kashmriyat that on Monday afternoon a joint team RR of the Indian Army, Jammu Kashmir Police and CRPF launched a cordon and search operation in the Aharbal area of Kulgam
As the joint team of forces approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon the forces, triggering off a gunfight.
During the exchange of gunfire, one Militant has been killed, he is yet to be identified.
As per the initial reports, two to three militants are believed to be trapped.
