One militant, two females among five OGWs held in Baramulla

Security forces on Tuesday claimed to have busted two Lashkar-e-Toiba terror modules by arresting one militant and five overground workers in just 14 days.

Addressing a press conference, SSP Baramulla Amod Nagpuri, as per news agency Kashmir Scroll, said that joint forces of the army and police arrested an active militant and six militant associates in the district of Baramulla and recovered arms and ammunition from them.

Amod said all the arrested militants and associates were in contact with Pakistan-based handlers and were trying to affect the peaceful environment in the region.

He also said two female overground workers were also arrested who were providing support to the active terrorists, and two grenades were also recovered from them.
