Jammu and Kashmir reported 95 fresh Covid-19 cases even as there was no death due to the virus in the last 24 hours, officials said on Friday. They said 65 of the fresh cases were reported from Jammu Division and 30 from Kashmir Division, taking the overall tally to 452817. Giving district wise details, the officials told GNS, Srinagar reported 18 cases, Baramulla 3, Budgam 3, Pulwama 0, Kupwara 3, Anantnag 1, Bandipora 1, Ganderbal 0, Kulgam 1, Shopian 0, Jammu 27, Udhampur 0, Rajouri 2, Doda 20, Kathua 5, Samba 5, Kishtwar 0, Poonch 1, Ramban 5 and Reasi 0. At least nine people including Syrian troops were killed in Israeli airstrikes near the capital Damascus. According to media reports, it is the fourth time this month that Israeli strikes have been reported inside Syria. “Israeli strikes killed six people, including two Syrian troops and four fighters whose nati­onalities remain unknown,” the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said. On the same day as Russia has invaded Ukraine, four people, including 3 women were injured in a drone strike on a civilian vehicle at the Qamishli-Amude road in North-East Syria (Feb. 24). 300-meter portion of a link road in Ramban district has sunk due to incessant rains, disconnecting at least five Panchayat blocks of Gandhri from District headquarters, officials said on Friday. Official sources told GNS that the portion of Kanga-Gandhri-Bhatni road caved in late Thursday afternoon amid incessant rains. The Saudi-led coalition said on Wednesday it launched 28 airstrikes in Yemen's northwestern province of Hajjah in the past 24 hours. Though the immediate damage was not known. 55-year-old man killed in hit-and-run accident in Pattan

A 55-year-old man was killed in a hit-and-run accident in north Kashmir's Baramulla district on Friday. Reports reaching GNS said that a man identified as Farooq Ahmad Lone (55) son of Mohammad Ramzan Lone of Zangam Pattan was crushed to death by unknown vehicle. After the accident, the driver fled in the car from the spot.
