A CISF personnel was detained at the Srinagar Airport on Saturday after security personnel recovered two live rounds and one empty cartridge from his baggage. Official sources told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that during screening at the drop gate of the Srinagar Airport, two live rounds and one empty cartridge of INSAS rifle was recovered from the baggage of a CISF personnel, who was immediately detained for questioning. “The security personnel has been identified as CT Driver Nada of CISF unit PGCL wagoora Puhroo who is currently posted at Nowgam wagoora Pahru,” officials said. Two militants of Lashkar-e-Toiba (TRF) were killed in an early morning encounter at Zakura area of Srinagar, police said Saturday. Kashmir Zone Police in a tweet quouting IGP Kashmir Vijay Kumar, said, " 02 militants of militant outfit LeT/TRF neutralised by Srinagar Police. One of the killed militants Ikhlaq Hajam was involved in recent killing of HC Ali Mohd at Hassanpora Anantnag. Incriminating materials including 02 pistols recovered". An earthquake with the magnitude of 5.7 jolted Kashmir parts on Saturday morning. Four days after facing severe injuries, the Jammu and Kashmir administration is planning to shift the acid attack survivor from Srinagar to Chennai hospital for eye treatment.
