Thieves stole a cow along with a calf and two sheep from Sopore's Krankshivan village of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
Reports said, that thieves entered into the cattle shed of Ghulam Nabi Ganaie during the intervening night of July 04 & 05 and stole a cow along with a calf and two sheep.
“We have lodged a complaint at a police station where we were assured of swift action,” said a victim.
The locals have appealed to the authorities to look into the rising cattle lifting incidents in the area.

Ahead of the Delimitation Commission's Jammu and Kashmir visit, the People's Alliance for Gupkar Declaration (PAGD) on Monday said that there was no joint decision over meeting the panel.
Addressing a presser, PAGD spokesman Muhammad Yousuf Tarigami as per the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) said that the PAGD has not taken any joint decision vis-a-vis meeting the Delimitation panel, which is visiting J&K for four days from July 06.
He added that the political parties, part of the PAGD will take the decision about meeting the panel separately.

Two men were arrested from Central Delhi in connection with stealing cars and selling them in Kashmir, police said on Sunday.
The accused have been identified as Showket Ahmad Malla (25), a resident of Baramulla district in Jammu Kashmir and Mohammad Juber (22), a resident of Shamli district in Uttar Pradesh.
The gang has sold more than 100 stolen vehicles in Kashmir since 2015, police said.
