
Text Book in Jaipur Relates Islam to ‘Terrorism’
The Jaipur police registered an FIR against a state textbook of class 12th of Rajasthan and a private publishing house of Jaipur after several social activists and Muslims expressed outrage on the content of the textbook which linked Islam with terrorism.
The FIR was lodged on a complaint by Mohsin Rasheed, state coordinator of Rajasthan Muslim Forum as well as Minority Cell of the ruling Congress party, under IPC sections 295A (Deliberate and malicious acts, intended to outrage religious feelings of any class by insulting its religion or religious beliefs) and 120B (criminal conspiracy).
The police arrested three persons for vandalizing the private publishing house in Jaipur’s old city.
