March 09 Aghast over the non construction of proper drainage system, the resident of Deva Colony in Shripora area of Islamabad (anantnag) township of South Kashmir demanded an immediate construction of a drainage system in the area. No Civilian Traffic to be Allowed on Kashmir Highway- Traffic Police Issues Advisory

April 09 As a part of the two day ban imposed by the Government to disallow civilian traffic movement on  the 300-km long National Highway on Sunday and Wednesday, the Jammu Kashmir Police has issued a advisory for civilian traffic to be away from the Kashmir Highway tomorrow. The prohibition on movement of civilian traffic on these two days of each week would be from Baramulla through Srinagar, Qazigund, Jawahar-Tunnel, Banihal and Ramban till Udhampur, an official government statement said. April 09 Over 78 lakh voters out of the total 145 Million, including nearly 38 lakh women, would decide the fate of dozens of candidates from the six Lok Sabha seats in Jammu Kashmir, which are going to polls in five-phased election beginning Thursday. They include over 4.25 lakh new voters and 159 transgenders, State Chief Electoral Officer Shailendra Kumar told PTI. He added that 47,216 are PWD (people with disabilities) voters and 1,433 VIP voters. Curfew Imposed, Army Called to Kishtawar after the Attack on RSS Leader

April 09 Curfew was imposed in Kishtwar town on Tuesday following a suspected Militant attack on a Rashtriya Swayamasevak Sangh (RSS) leader that left him wounded and his security guard dead.
