Palestinian prisoner Nasser Abu Hamid dies in Israeli custody

Palestinian prisoner, Nasser Abu Hamid died in the custody of alleged “medical negligence” by Israeli authorities against Palestinian prisoners.

Nasser Abu Hamid was imprisoned since 2002 was sentenced to life 7 times and 50 years, and is the brother of 5 other prisoners in the Israeli prisons. Their house had been demolished several times by Israel, and their mother was prevented from visiting them for several years.

Palestinian media reported that Nasser “has become in a very critical health condition, and doctors began giving him large doses of painkillers, in an attempt to control his pain.”

The prisoner was in a semi-coma and woke up only for a few minutes, and had been suffering from pain all over his body.

During the last days of his life, the prisoner is no longer able to leave his bed.

He “suffered from severe shortness of breath, is connected at all times to an oxygen supply tube, and his ability to speak has become very weak,” the report said, mentioning that his memory has become impaired, and he cannot recognize his surroundings.”

Nasser Abu Hamid, a founder of Fatah’s al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigade who were accused of killing seven Israelis in 2000.
