As the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) rallies to form the government after falling short of a majority, Telugu Desam Party (TDP) Chief Chandrababu Naidu has kept the surprise alive by hinting at possibilities of change.
“I have witnessed many political changes in the country. At the moment, I am part of the NDA. If there are any changes, we will inform the media,” Naidu said at a press conference in Vijayawada.

Naidu is set to depart for Delhi to attend the scheduled NDA meeting following the announcement of the election results.
Expressing gratitude to the people of Andhra Pradesh for supporting the TDP and NDA alliance, Naidu remarked, “This election was historic. People from the USA spent 5 lakh rupees to come and vote, and even laborers from other states returned to cast their ballots. These elections will be remembered fondly.”
Criticizing the YSR Congress Party’s five-year tenure, Naidu alleged significant economic and agricultural damage. “The past five years of YSRCP governance have caused damage equivalent to 30 years. The economy is in ruins, debt levels are unknown, and agriculture suffers from severe water shortages. Farmers couldn’t protest the removal of sand from their lands. Additionally, our workers were placed under house arrest,” he said.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s party has fallen short of majority and now relies on support from coalition partners, including JD(U) Chief Nitish Kumar and TDP Chief Chandrababu Naidu, as the BJP fell 32 seats short of the 272 majority mark.
