The President of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Mehbooba Mufti has said that Kashmiris will never forget August 5, 2019, as on that day the Modi-led government usurped their rights undemocratically.
Mehbooba Mufti while speaking to media in South Kashmir said that the people of Kashmir are very angry due to the decision of the Indian government.
She added that nothing was going to be achieved by harassing the Kashmiri people through different tactics.

Mehbooba Mufti said that New Delhi must immediately stop harassment in the territory. She added that the people of Kashmir wanted a peaceful resolution of the Kashmir dispute. She maintained that all issues can be resolved only through dialogue for which India has to negotiate with Pakistan.
Mehbooba Mufti said that New Delhi should keep in mind that human heart couldn’t be conquered through repressive measures.
