PM Modi addresses crowds in Jammu

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has landed in Jammu and straightway drove to the MA Stadium where a huge gathering has assembled to listen to his speech.

Among the highlights, he will set in motion the BJP’s campaign for the Lok Sabha elections in Jammu and Kashmir, where the party aims to secure three out of the five parliamentary seats.

Modi’s itinerary includes the inauguration of various rail projects, distribution of appointment letters, and engagement with beneficiaries of government schemes.

Notably, the inauguration and foundation laying of projects, as well as interactions, will be conducted via video conferencing.

The rail projects, including the Banihal-Khari-Sumber-Sangaldan section featuring innovative Ballast Less Track (BLT) technology and India’s longest transportation tunnel, are set to enhance connectivity and promote economic growth.

Additionally, Modi will distribute appointment letters to 1500 new government recruits and launch the BJP’s election campaign at a massive rally.

He will also inaugurate the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Vijaypur and lay the foundation stone for a new terminal building at Jammu Airport.’

The day’s agenda extends to the dedication of various projects spanning health, education, transportation, and civic infrastructure, amounting to over Rs 32,000 crore. These include the establishment of IITs, IIMs, Kendriya Vidyalayas, Navodaya Vidyalayas, and road infrastructure enhancements.

Furthermore, the Prime Minister will lay the groundwork for vital road projects and the development of a state-of-the-art petroleum depot in Jammu.

Lastly, Modi will oversee the commencement of projects aimed at bolstering civic infrastructure and public facilities across Jammu and Kashmir, covering areas such as road development, energy infrastructure, environmental management, and urban development initiatives. He is expected to take off for Delhi at around 2 pm.
