Bandipora police continuing its war against the menace of drugs arrested 02 drug peddlers in Bazipora Ajas Sumbal and recovered Charas from their possession.
Acting on specific information,a police party led by SDPO Sumbal Shri Surinder Mohan -JKPS & DO P/P Ajas INSP. Qaiser Bashir under the supervision of SSP Bandipora Shri Mohammad Zahid -JKPS during a Naka checking at Bazipora Ajas arrested two persons along with the large quantity of Charas, hidden in maize leaves.
The accused have been identified a
Mubashir Ahmad Lone S/o Gh Rasool lone R/o Lone Mohalla Ajas
Showkat Ahmad Sheikh S/o Gh Mohd Sheikh R/o Rather Mohalla Ajas.
During the preliminary enquiry, it was revealed that the accused were notorious drug peddlers and were selling the drugs to youths of the area at exorbitant rates & make them drug addicts.
Accordingly, case FIR No.60/2021 under relevant sections of NDPS Act was registered in police station Sumbal and further investigation has been taken up.
People are requested to come forward with any information regarding drug peddlers and help police in eradicating the menace of drugs.
