Police file FIR against hatemonger for blasphemous remarks in Ramban

The district administration in Ramban has registered a case against a social media user from the district over the charges of blasphemy.

Reports reaching The Kashmiriyat said that a social media user with the handle name official Ankush Singh Rajput, has made blasphemous remarks against Allah and Prophet Muhammad.

In his comment the social media user has used abusive comments against Allah and Islam’s last messanger, triggering anger among the local residents.

Swinging into action swifty, the Police registerd a case against the hate monger and booked him under the relevant sections of law.

Official sources told The Kashmiriyat that the user was booked under the section 295-A (Outraging religious feelings of others), 153 A (attacking another religion) and section 505 (incitement) of the Indian Penal code.

“Strongly condemning any efforts of blasphemy of Prophet Mohammed (SAW) on a social media post. A criminal acts that disrupt peace. The District administration is taking swift action; FIR already filed against the culprits under sections 295-A, 153-A, 298, and 505 IPC,” District Magistrate Ramban said.

He further said that ensuring that those responsible face rightful consequences. “Zero tolerance for such provocative behavior. The DC of Ramban urges the public to prioritize communal harmony and respect for all sentiments,” DC added in his tweet.
