The Jammu Kashmir Police rescued the girl who was kidnapped and arrested the person involved in committing the crime.
In a press release issued to The Kashmiriyat, the Police said that Police Station Manzgam on 25.04.2021 received a written complaint for assistance from a complainant stating that his daughter (name withheld) had been kidnapped by one person namely Parvaiz Ahmad Bhat, a resident of ShatMuqam Drugmulla Kupwara.
Acting promptly a Case with FIR No 23/2021 U/S 366, 109 IPC was registered in Police Station Manzgam and investigation was initiated.
Accordingly, a team headed by SHO Manzgam Shalinder Singh under the supervision of SDPO DH Pora Shabir Ahmad was constituted to trace out the kidnapped girl and to nab the culprit.
Utilizing all available means, with strenuous efforts specific information was generated by the investigating team which led to rescue the girl and the kidnapper was arrested from Kupwara.
After fulfilling all medico-legal formalities, the girl will be handed over to her legal heirs.
