On Thursday, the Panchayati Raj Institution members of Shangus area of Anantnag district staged protest against the administration’s decision of B.D.O.’s transfer. The protesters demanded revocation of the transfer order at the earliest.
Dozens of PRI Members including Sarpanchs and Panchs participated in the protest, here, in the Shangus block against the administration’s decision of transfer of B.D.O., Shangus.
The protesters said that the administration was talking about strengthening the administration machinery at grassroots level and that the B.D.O. had performed their duty with utmost honestly and discipline.
“We were shocked when we heard about the transfer order of B.D.O. We appeal the higher authorities to revoke the transfer order,” the protesters said.
