A middle-aged woman, namely Mogal Banoo w/o Mohammad Ameen Dar and resident of Redwani, Kulgam was mowed down by a police bus in Quimoh area of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district.
Locals speaking to the The Kashmiriyat identified the woman said that the accident occured in the Kawaki Bazaar in Quimoh.
“The woman was shifted to the hospital but died on the way” said sources.
The BMO Qaimoh, Dr. Abdul Gani speaking to The Kashmiriyat also said that the deceased woman was declared dead on arrival.
Protests have erupted on the streets after the news of the death was released and the shops have downed all shutters.
People have taken to the street and also called for a complete shutdown of shops and facilities, as protest against the death.
