Dr. Farooq Abdullah said that the eviction drive has been halted across Jammu Kashmir merely because of the resentment people showed against the drive.
Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of an event in Srinagar Dr. Farooq Abdullah said, “The eviction drive was stopped only because people protested and showed resentment against the drive. Had people remained silent, the admin would have demolished more properties.”
People are power, they need to realize that their united voice can make the biggest force bow down, the PAGD and JKNC president said.
Responding to the reports of the withdrawal of the Indian Army from residential areas, he said that the decision was to be taken by the Government. “I would not like to comment on the issue,” Farooq Abdullah said.
