One Militant and two Government Force peronnel have been killed in the encounter in Pulwama.
Officials told The Kashmiriyat that Militants opened fire on a joint party of 50 RR, 182 Battalion of CRPF and Jammu Kashmir Police who were conducting a search operation in the area.
Following inputs about Militant presence in the area the Forces had launched the CASO.
At around, 6 am, the Militants opened fire on Forces, who retailed, triggering an encounter.
In the ensuing gun battle, two troopers identified as Sepoy Baljeet Singh and Naik Saneed were killed, while Havaldar Chanderpal was injured.
One Militant was also killed in the gunfight.
Meanwhile Mobile Internet services have been snapped in Pulwama District, Train services have been suspended in South Kashmir.
Sources told The Kashmiriyat that two Militants escaped from the site of the encounter.
One dead body has been recovered from the site of the encounter.
Clashes are still going on at thr encounter site, a local informed The Kashmiriyat.
