Director of the Meteorological Centre in Srinagar has predicted a mix of rain and snow across Jammu Kashmir in the coming days, with the possibility of travel disruptions on higher-altitude routes.

The MeT office has issued an advisory urging tourists and travelers to plan their trips accordingly for November 14 and 15, due to expected weather conditions.

Mukhtar Ahmad, a MeT official, stated, “November 13 is expected to remain dry, but light rain and snow are forecast for November 14-15 in various parts of Kashmir and the Jammu Division, particularly in higher altitudes. A brief period of scattered light rain and snow will follow on November 16, before a dry spell sets in from November 17 to 23.”

An advisory has been issued for November 15, as light snowfall at high-altitude passes could cause temporary disruptions in surface transportation.

Key routes likely to be affected include Zojila, Razdan Pass, Sadhna Pass, Sinthan Top, and Mughal Road.

The MeT Centre has advised tourists and travelers to carefully plan their journeys, especially during the night of November 14-15.
