The residents of Nejigund, Daburna in Anantnag staged a protest against PHE Department due to a shortage of water supply in the area.
The residents said that people of this area are suffering for a long time due to the non-availability of potable water.
They said that the administration was informed about the matter but it looks like they are not interested to resolve the sufferings of the people of Nejigund.
“Even pipelines were built here, but all in vain still there is no water supply. Also, there is a water tank built near the Watrigam area 20 years ago but the landowner has implemented stay on the water tank. Because of these issues people here of suffering so much,” a resident said.
The residents appealed to the Governor Administration to resolve the issue of water shortage as soon as possible
