Residents of Baramulla area stage protest against water scarcity in Ramadhan

The residents of Delina Sopore in north Kasmir’s Baramulla district on Thursday staged a protest against the PHE Department for failing to ensure a regular supply of potable water to the area during the holy month of Ramadan.

The protesters displaying empty buckets and pitchers blocked the road and disrupted traffic to attract the attention of the concerned authorities.

One of the protestor talking to The Kashmiriyat said that they are facing water scarcity from last four days in the area is making it difficult for them to get on with their life.

“Despite several complaints to the concerned department, our issues remain unaddressed,” the protesters said leaving them with no option but to stage the protest.
