Several Jammu Kashmir Police personnel have not been paid their salaries for the last two months, Moneycontrol reported.
A section of police personnel including IPS officers from Jammu Kashmir, who come under the ‘New Pension Scheme’, have been informed that their salaries have been withheld because of “non-availability of budget”, the report added.
Salaries have not been credited for the months of October and November months, Money control report revealed.
“It is for the first time that the salaries of J&K Police personnel have got delayed. Other departments might have been affected in the past, but police officials always get it on time,” the reported quoted a senior police officer as saying.
Dilbagh Singh, the Director General of Jammu Kashmir Police said, that the matter will be checked.
