Sarpanch shot at by unknown gunmen in Kulgam area

A sarpanch was shot at by unknown gunmen in the Nillow area of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district.

Official sources told The Kashmiriyat that suspected militants on Friday evening fired upon a sarpanch in the Oudura Nillow, causing injuries to him.

The Sarpanch identified  Shabir Ahmad Mir son of Mohammed Abdullah Mir, a resident of Odoura was rushed to the nearby hospital for treatment.

His condition is stated to be critical.
