The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah allows women to register for Hajj for this season without a mahram with other female pilgrims.
The 2021 Hajj registration, which is open to citizens and residents of Saudi Arabia, can be made through http://localhaj.haj.gov.sa from yesterday until June 23.
Those wishing to perform the hajj must register individually, the Saudi Gazette reported.
The Ministry has set some conditions for applicants which must be 18 to 65 years old, in good health including immunity with the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine and free of chronic diseases.
The ministry also set open registration conditions for individuals who have not performed the hajj in the past five years.
Beginning June 25, the second phase of registration will begin including compiling and completing the registration.
According to the ministry, payment must be made within three hours after selecting the package to avoid cancellation.
“Considerations are made based on health standards and regulations with priority to those who have never performed the hajj,” according to the ministry.
Last Saturday, Saudi Arabia explained the government allowed this year’s pilgrimage only to its citizens and residents because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
A total of 60,000 pilgrims will be allowed to perform the hajj this year, which will begin in mid -July.
Pilgrims should get the full vaccine, or those who took a single dose of COVID-19 vaccine at least 14 days before, or those who were vaccinated after recovering from a coronavirus infection.
The decision is based on the government’s determination to enable pilgrims at the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque to perform Hajj and Umrah, “the ministry said. – AGENCIES
