The authorities booked a private school teacher under the Public Safety Act (PSA) in North Kashmir’s Kupwara District.
Zahoor Abbas Khan (39) son of Mohammed Abbas Khan who is a resident of Devar area in Lolab belt of this North Kashmir district has been booked under PSA and shifted to the District Jail in Kupwara.
Sources told The Kashmiriyat that in the fist week of July, Zahoor had been summoned by Police Station Lolab, he went there and was detained. The detention was questioned by the family members, however the family says their questions were simply evaded.
Zahoor who is a teacher by profession in wake of Covid-19 lock-down situation, was a part of a voluntarily came in the area and distributed food kits among needy families which had no association with any organization.

The Dossier prepared by Police accuses Zahoor of having close links with militant outfits and is supporting extremism in Jammu Kashmir.
He has also been accused of holding a post of Ameer-e-Halqa Lolab of Jamaat e Islami, however his family has denounced the charges.
Thousands of Kashmiris were picked up post the abrogation of Article 370 in Jammu Kashmir on August 05, last year, hundreds still continue to under detention, many of them in Jails outside Jammu Kashmir.
