
Eid ul Fitr prayers will be held at Eid Gah of Anantnag, the Jamia Masjid committee Anantnag announced on Friday.
In a statement to the press, Moulana Rameez Qadri, who leads the prayers at the grand mosque said that Eid prayers will be held at the Eid Gah, Janglat Mandi at 9:30 A.M.
“In case of dry weather the eid prayers shall be held at Eidgah Anantnag at 9:30 A.M. and in case of wet weather prayers will be held at Jamia Masjid Anantnag in Kashmir at 10 A.M,” he said.
He advised people to bring their prayers mats along and carry water bottles during the prayers.
“Separate arrangements will be made for women devotees and people who bring their kids along should take specific care of their children. We request all the people of Anantnag town participate in the historic gathering. It has been many years that the people of the district have gathered at one place,” Moulana Rameez said.
Addressing the media, he said that Eid ul Fitr is an occassion for massive congregations and people should prefer offering prayers in large congregations that in smaller mosques.
