“Woh deep state ko kya nachayega, uske jaisi murgiyan wahan gayab ho jaati hain,” (being able to use deep state is a misconception of Shah Faesal), a young protester said looking into our camera.
He made these comments after thousands of people raised the slogans, “Nahi Chalegi, Nahi Chalegi, Shah Faesal ki Nahi Chalegi” during the funeral of slain Militant commander, Zeenat ul Islam at Sugan area in South Kashmir’s Shopian.
“They think they can woo us to elections, by creating new faces, we do not know if its conscious or unconscious, but we will have to say, kids here are politically more mature than Shah Faesal is,” the protester said while speaking to The Kashmiriyat.
Pursuing Bachelors in Arts from Pulwama Degree college, Arif Ahmed laway, who has traveled more than twenty miles to the funeral of slain commander, Zeenat ul Islam says that he hardly has missed any funeral in the past year in South Kashmir.
“Last month, i was hit with a bullet in my leg, i was barely able to walk, but despite that, i reached to attend the funeral of Rehan khan.” he added.
“why does he think, he is more smart? he does not stand a chance to Sabzar, he was even more educated than him, many to whom in comparison he is a kid did not join mainstream,” Aaqib said, adding that, “whosoever is planning to benefit from his joining mainstream will not.”
He said that the “tide” that started post the killing of Burhan wani will not easily be halted, “only if people will get tired, it will, but after getting tired, people will be refilled with energy, that is human,” Aaqib feels.
Thousands of people hooted and jingled with joy as Militants appeared in the funeral to offer gun salute to their fallen comrade.
The Government Forces since late evening on Saturday had been patrolling the streets of Sugan.
However since early morning, despite clashes and restrictions women and men in large numbers reached the funeral of Slain Zeenat.
He was laid to rest after 12 rounds of funeral prayers.
Considered as an Improvised explosive device (IED) expert, Zeenat ul Islam, a native of Shopian’s volatile Sugan area had joined militant ranks in 2015. He was now commander of Al Badr outfit.
Shah Faesal, the IAS topper, had resigned citing ‘unabated killings and lack of political outreach from New Delhi’, and said that he won’t be joining any existing political setup in the state.
