Protests erupted in Kupwara’s Government Degree College on Thursday against Shopian Killings.
Students told The Kashmiryat that scores of students gathered in the college compound raising pro Freedom slogans.
“The Students raising pro Freedom slogans demanded an end to the killings,” a student said.
Hundreds of students have gathered in the college compound denouncing the killing of 18 Kashmiris in the past week.
The Students tried to march out, however the troopers deployed in the area fired tear smoke shells at the protesters, a student told The Kashmiriyat.
This resulted in massive clashes between students and Government Forces, he said.
The protests were going on when this report was filed.
