A shopping complex was damaged in a nocturnal blaze in the Wandevalgam area of Kokernag in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district.
Locals told The Kashmiriyat that during the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday, flames emerged from a shop inside a shopping complex which later spread to the nearby shops.
As soon as the flames erupted, the locals and F&ES Department reached the spot to douse off the flames, however, six shops were damaged before the fire could be brought under control.
The shopping complex belonged to Ghulam Hassan Sheikh son of Abdul Gaffar Sheikh, a resident of Kokernag in Anantnag district.
