Another militant has been killed in an ongoing encounter between security forces and militants in the Modergam Kulgam area of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district, raising the toll to two.
A top police officer told the Srinagar-based news agency Kashmir Scroll that two more militants have been killed, bringing the total to three. Their identities are yet to be confirmed.
Earlier, as the joint team of forces intensified searches toward the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon the forces, triggering a gunfight.
