The Divisional forest officer of social forestry division Anantnag Shama Rohi along with SDM Pahalgam, CEO Pahalgam development authority, Tehsildar, and Employees of concerned department of social forestry started plantation of saplings in Pahalgam.
Shama Rohi told The Kashmiriyat we have started this drive from Pahalgam for its beautification.
“We planted at least 1.20 lac saplings under campa and other schemes. We have also covered different areas that fall around the forests to increase afforestation”.
Talking to The Kashmiriyat she said that every individual to have a right to play his role in keeping the environment clean and polluted free.
She urged employees of the social forestry department to plant trees in institutions, Office premises, etc so that we make the environment pollution free.
