Militants have managed to flee after a brief gunfight at Warpora area of Sopore in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district last evening, officials sources said on Saturday.

Police had said that they along with security forces were fired upon by militants as soon as they were laying a cordon at Usmanabad, Warpora area of Sopore. “Reinforcements came and nearby orchard were cordoned and search started.”
However, there was no contact established with the militants and apparently they have managed to escape from the spot, the sources said. (GNS)
