Srinagar Man Working In Indian Army Missing Since September 3, Family Stages Protest

A 50-year-old Srinagar man working in the Indian Army has been missing from Jammu city since September 3, 2020. The family of missing Reyaz Ahmed Khan staged a protest in Press Enclave Srinagar seeking his whereabouts. Khan is the son of late Amanullah Khan and a resident of Urdu Bazar Fathe Kadal,

His daughter Bazila Reyaz said that Reyaz Ahmed is posted at Bari Brahmana Jammu at CSD Army Canteen. β€œHe had gone to get his COVID-19 test reports from Government Medical College Jammu on September 3 and since then is untraceable,” she said.

She said a missing report in this regard has been lodged at police station in Bakshi Nagar.

The missing man, Reyaz Ahmed, has a daughter, son, and an ailing mother. All the three were part of the protest. His daughter is going to get married next month.

A police official said that efforts are on to trace the missing Srinagar man. He said that CCTV footage shows, the missing man has not visited the hospital on September 3. A team has been constituted to trace the missing man.
