The arrest of the 5 girls with regard to the sex racket, according to their statements one of the girls among them has told her residence as Tibetian Colony. We strongly condemn this statement. It is a gross misrepresentation of facts.”

“Our community is living in Kashmir for more than 60 years now. We have never witnessed any such incident before. We also try to remain steadfast in our faith. We have always tried to do so and will continue to do so,” he stated.

Calling for a proper investigation into the incident, he said that the residences told by the girls are all in Kashmir. “What if the girls reside outside Kashmir?” he questioned.

“None would tolerate such things in Kashmir. I think not a single is a person who is not moved by this incident. If this incident turns out to be true we all should hang our heads in shame. It is a very sensitive issue. It is quite obvious if the accused are arrested especially if a girl is involved. Her honour is at stake. Why would they tell their correct address?” he asked.
