The First episode of ‘Straight Forward’ will feature Mohammed Yusuf Tarigami, Pirzada Tauqir of Jammu Kashmir National Conference, Sofi Yusuf of BJP and Mohammed Amin Bhat of Congress.
The panelists include Mohammed Yusuf Tarigami, the regional head of Communist party of India (Marxist), and has been the Member Legislative assembly of Jammu Kashmir, for the Kulgam seat, till the assembly was disbanded by the Governor, Satya Pal Malik in 2018. Mr. Tarigami was one of the first persons to be booked under Public Safety Act in 1979.
Peerzada Tauqir, a former Judge of the Sessions Court will also be on the show. Mr. Tauqir left his job as a judge and joined the National Conference in 2018. He too was arrested before the abrogation of Special status in August last year.
BJPs Parliamentary candidate for the South Kashmir seat in 2019 elections, Sofi Yusuf and Mohammed Amin Bhat, a former MLA and a prominent voice in the Jammu Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee will also be on the show.
