Students of Central University of Kashmir Did not Stand up for Indian National Anthem

July 05

The Central University of Kashmir is involved in the latest news debates. Recently a video footage of the university figured over the Internet. It has been found that the students of the university are sitting when the national anthem of India was being played.

The incident happened on July 4th during the annual convocation of the university. Most of the students of the university were present in the ceremony. While the Indian National Anthem was played around, it is seen, almost all the attendees in the program stood to pay tribute to the national anthem. But some students did not stand up. As long as the national anthem is going on, they were sitting.

In November last year a same type of incident happened at Rajouri’s Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University. The national anthem was played at a special event of that college with the state Governor NN Vora as the chief guest. At almost all the studies, stand up. Two students were found sitting in the bus. Within a short time the video of the incident spread to social media and the two students were fiercely criticised.
