At least two residential houses were damaged in a fire incident in Sopore locality of Baramulla district on Sunday evening, rendering three families homeless. An official told Kashmir News Service (KNS) two residential houses were damaged at Chankhan locality, leaving three families homeless. He said that soon after fire broke out in the area, fire tenders rushed to the spot to douse off flames, however, two residential houses were damaged in the incident. At least nine residential houses were damaged in a massive fire in the old Town locality of this North Kashmir's Baramulla district, officials said on Saturday leaving 14 families homeless. The officials told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), that the fire appeared at one of the residential house and soon spread to other adjacent houses quickly. At least six residential houses were damaged in a fire incident in a congested Namchabal area of Srinagar. Official sources told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the fire erupted midnight at around 12:00 a.m, apparently due to short-circuit in one of the houses. Soon, fire spread and engulfed five other houses in the vicinity. The fire was controlled with the help of fire tenders, locals and police, they said. A mosque besides few other structures are engulfed in a massive fire in Gojwara area of central Kashmir’s Srinagar district. Reports reaching GNS said that a fire broke at around 3:35 PM from a mosque and soon after spread to few other structures in proximity.
