In view of the fire incident at Bone and Joint hospital in Srinagar, the government has decided to start orthopedic clinics at five district and sub-district hospitals so that the patient won't face any problems. Two residential houses were damaged in a fire incident at Palpora, Sonwar area of Srinagar in the intervening night of Tuesday-Wednesday. Official sources told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that two residential houses belonging to three families namely Mohammad Farooq Parray, Farooq Ahmad Parray and Bilal Ahmad Parray were gutted in a fire incident at Palpora area of Sonwar. They said that the fire was controlled by F&ES department with the help of locals and there was no loss of life or injury to any in the incident. At least two residential houses and a shop were damaged in separate fire incidents in central Kashmir’s Srinagar district. Reports reaching GNS said that a residential house in Dachigam belonging to one Mohammad Sultan Wadoo son of Habibullah Wadoo caught fire this afternoon. Fire erupted in the forest area of Bijhama in the Uri area of Baramulla district on Sunday afternoon. According to a local news agency, Kashmir News Service (KNS) said that fire erupted in compartment number 09 of the Bijhama forest area. They said that a team of police has reached to the spot to douse off the flames and fire was brought under control. Meanwhile, an official said that cause of fire was being ascertained.

A double storey residential house was gutted in a massive fire in Sangam area of Bijbehara in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Monday evening. Reports reaching GNS that a massive fire broke out in a residential house belonging to one Feroz Ahmad Dar Son of Abdul Raheem Dar in Sangam Bijbehara. Soon after, fire and emergency department employees assisted by police and locals launched an operation to douse off the flames in a highly congested locality. Two residential houses were gutted in a devastating fire at Dargam village of Pattan in North Kashmir's Baramulla district on Monday. Witnesses told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), that a fire broke out in a residential house belonging to Ghulam Hassan Parray S/o Mohd Sultan Parray and within no time the fire spread to nearby house belonging to Muhammad Maqbool Parray S/O Gh Mohd Parray at Dargam, Pattan. Three cows and a calf were charred to death in an overnight fire incident at Dodh Mohalla area of Shalimar in Srinagar city. Reports reaching GNS said that cowshed belonging to Farooq Ahmad Rather at Shalimar suddenly caught fire last night which rapidly engulfed the whole structure. In the incident, his three cows and a calf were charred to death. “However, the cause of the fire was not yet known,” reports added. Meanwhile, the affected owner has appealed to the administration to provide him due compensation for his survival. (GNS)

The Jamia Masjid of Malangam was damaged in an overnight fire incident in the Bandipora district of northern Kashmir. Officials said that fire broke out in a Jamia Masjid in Malangam village during the intervening night of Sunday and Monday, resulting in the damage of the Masjid. They said that with the help of locals and fire tenders, the devastating fire was prevented from spreading further to nearby structures.
