Tarzoo-Hygam Road in Sopore Turns Into Wetland, Admin Goes Missing

Shabir Khan

As rains lash the valley, the administration in Jammu Kashmir has gone missing issuing online notices and orders, however on ground, the problems of the general public have escalated.

In a similar episode of officials being missing from the ground, the road from the Tarzoo cement bridge to the main chowk of Hygam has turned into a wetland.

A local speaking to The Kashmiriyat said that people are suffering as the transport facility providers are not willing to operate their vehicle services on this road as the road is so full of potholes and has developed more holes due to the incessant rains in the valley for the past twenty four hours.

The road has been in the list of development from the past few years but hasn’t seen improvement, he said.

“The inability to construct the road and the slow pace of infrastructure building points towards the ignorance of the local administration,” he told The Kashmiriyat.
