Teenage girl Among Three Women injured by Bear attack in Ganderbal

A wild bear attacked three women in Wani Mohallah Kangan area of central Kashmir Ganderbal district on Monday Evening.

Sources told The Kashmiriyat that a black bear ventured into fields near Power House Kangan from a nearby forest on Monday evening and attacked three ladies, among whom one of  them has sustained critical injuries.

Officials identified the injured as Shaheena Begum(46), wife of Reyaz Ahmad Mir, Jabeena Begum (34), wife of Mehraj-ud-din Rather and Nusrat Jan(19), daughter  of Nazir Ahmad Mir, all residents of Wani Mohalla Kangan.

They said that two among injured were treated at Trauma Hospital in Kangan and the critical one was referred to SKIMS for advanced treatment.
