A gunfight has started between Militants and Government Forces in Sugoo in Hendhama area of Kashmir’s Shopian District
Official sources told The Kashmiriyat that 44RR of Indian Army, Jammu Kashmir Police and CRPF jointly launched the Anti Militancy operation.
The Encounter started when Militants fired on a party of Government forces who were conducting a joint cordonand Search Operation in the Sugoo area.
Earlier Forces had launched a Cordon and Search Operation in the area upon receiving a specific input about the presence of Militants in the area, Sources told The Kashmiriyat.
A Group of two to three Militants are believed to be trapped in the area, sources told The Kashmiriyat.
Pertinently this is is third encounter in less than a week in Shopian District, several households have been damaged in the previous two encounters.
