The Residents of the Hallan area in Larnoo in South Kashmir’s Islamabad (Anantnag) district on Tuesday staged a protest demonstration against the Education Department for failing to provide full teaching staff at Govt Middle School Hallan.
Raising slogans against the education department, the locals accused the education department of playing with the future of the children studying in the said school. Speaking to The Kashmiriyat, the residents said that they have raised this issue with concerned authorities but there was no positive change on the ground.
They said that only two to three teachers are teaching in the middle school which has a student strength of around one hundred plus students. “The staff always falls short to take care of the class and the students most of the time,” a resident said.
Appealing the Cheif Education Officer Anantnag to intervene in the matter, the residents said that the problem must be addressed immediately
The Kashmiriyat appraised the issue with the ZEO vailoo, who said that the department has a scarcity of teaching in the Vailoo zone. “We will try our best to provide the mentioned school maximum number of teachers, and as soon as possible.”
CEO Anantnag upon being contacted by The Kashmiriyat assured that according to the sanctioned strength the department will provide the required teaching staff before the start of Classwork.
