CASO Launched in Three South Kashmir Villages

Cordon and search operation has been launched in three villages of South Kashmir on the morning of Friday in the Kashmir valley.

An official told The Kashmiriyat that the Anti-Militancy operations have been launched following inputs about militant presence in the Shopian and Pulwama districts of South Kashmir.

He said that the 42 Rashtriya Rifles of the Indian Army, Jammu Kashmir Police and CRPF have launched a cordon and search operation (CASO) jointly in the Panir and Satoora areas of Tral belt in Pulwama district.

Meanwhile, a door-to-door search operation has also been launched in the Awneera area of the Zainapora belt in South Kashmir’s Shopian district.

The operation was jointly launched by 1 RR of the Indian Army, CRPF and Jammu Kashmir Police.
