Three Kashmiri doctors have been felicitated with top awards during the Pankoshmia Talents of Healthcare (PTH) Professionals Awards held in Chandigarh, India.
Dr. Avnish Kumar, the chief guest, Director, Research and Medical Education, Government of Punjab, presented awards to Kashmiri doctors Adil Rasool Malik, senior dental surgeon, Health and Medical Education Department J-K, Dr. Humaira (dental surgeon), and Dr. Ajaz Ahmad Shah, professor and head of oral and maxillofacial surgery at Government Dental College Srinagar.
Dr. Humaira Bhat received the “Outstanding Oral Health Promoter Award,” while Dr. Adil Rasool Malik received the “Scientific Services Achievement Award” and Dr. Ajaz Ahmad Shah received the “Life Time Achievement Award in Oral.
Prof. (Dr.) Ajaz Ahmad Shah, who pioneered the Temporomandibular Joint, maxillofacial trauma, and dental implants, has significantly changed the field of advanced maxillofacial surgery. He introduced maxillofacial face surgery to Jammu Kashmir.
Dr Adil Rasool has focused his work on spindle cell lesions and has classified the spindle cell lesions. This classification has never been done before. This classification and many other well-known scientific research that have been praised by numerous specialists were pioneered by him.
Dr Humaira Bhat has been proving to be a very dedicated oral health promoter at a very young age and Maxillofacial Surgery.”
