Three Workers of ONGC Abducted by Militants in Assam

Three workers of the Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) have been allegedly kidnapped by a suspected Militant group from the Lakuwa tea estate under in Assam, the quint reported.

Those abducted have been identified as Retul Saikia, Alakesh Saikia and Mohini Mohan Gogoi.

As per the report, the development came days after banned Militant outfit ULFA released two employees of the Oil and Gas Infrastructure Limited. They had been kidnapped from Arunachal Pradesh on 21 December.

“According to preliminary investigation, a group of five armed militants were involved in the abduction,” Sivasagar SP Amitava Sinha said.
