Three year old boy drowns to death in Shopain

A three-year-old boy drowned to death on Friday in a stream in Reban area of Zainapora in South Kashmir’s Shopian district.

An official told The Kashmiriyat that a minor boy while playing slipped in the stream, flowing through the area at Khargund Chak-e-Reban in the Zainapora area and drowned.

Locals launched the rescue operation and evacuated him. He was rushed to a nearby hospital where doctors declared him brought dead, he added.

The boy has been identified as Azaan Imtiyaz son of Imtiyaz Ahmad Ganaie a resident of Khargund Chak-e-Reban.

Meanwhile, police has taken cognizance of the incident and further investigations have been set into motion.
