Twitter takes down Journalists’ accounts reporting on farmers’ protest in India

Twitter handles of at least two journalists reporting independently from the ongoing farmers protest have been taken town.

Reports reaching The Kashmiriyat, said that the twitter (now X), handles of Punjab-based journalists Sandeep Singh and Mandeep Punia were blocked in India on Wednesday afternoon.

Additionally, the handle of Gaon Savera, the organization Mandeep run has also been taken down in India.

The Twitter handles of journalists Sandeep (@PunYaab), Mandeep (@mandeeppunia1) and Gaon Savera (@GaonSavera) covering the farmers’ movement have been blocked in response to a legal demand by the government of India.
