Two civilians were injured on Sunday evening after suspected militants hurled a grenade on CRPF bunker in Sangam area on the Srinagar- Jammu highway in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district.
An official told The Kashmiriyat that suspected militants lobbed a grenade on 96 battalion of CRPF situated in the Sangam area, resulting in injuries to two persons, one of whom was shifted to Government Medical College Anantnag for treatment.
Other civilian injured have been shifted to Sub District Hospital (SDH) Bijbehera in Anantnag for treatment.
An official posted at GMC Anantnag said that the injured youth identified as Irfan Ahmed has sustained splinter injuries.
