The two minor girls who went missing from their home in south Kashmir’s Shopian have been traced in Srinagar.
Speaking to The Kashmiriyat, a family member confirmed the development and said that the duo has been traced in Srinagar.
They said that family is on the way to Srinagar’s Child Welfare Centre where the duo has been taken.
An official of the Child Welfare Centre Srinagar confirming this said, “the sisters are being taken care of since Monday evening.”
The official also confirmed that the duo were traced alone, not in the company of anyone else. ‘The sisters were on their own when they were found,” the official said.
Earlier, The Kashmiriyat reported that Raziya Jan and Asmat Jan have been missing from their home in Pahnoo area of Shopian in south Kashmir, triggering panic among the family members.
The family had said that the two had gone to the shop of their father on Sunday afternoon while their mother was in the nearby village for some work.
“When she (mother) came back, I had called her to send someone from home to the shop. It was she who informed me that the two sisters were not at home,” their father said.
