With two more deaths, in the Kashmir valley, the death toll due to covid 19 has climbed to 135 on Monday morning.
A 56-year-old man from Budgam district in Kashmir, who had been tested positive for COVID-19 died early morning on Monday.
Hotpital officials told The Kashmiriyat that the deceased was a resident of Kralpora area in Budgam and he was suffering from Hypertension, other than Chronic Kidney Disease and Community Acquired Pneumonia besides being COVID-19 positive.
The official said that the patient was on expired around 4 am this morning.
Another man who passed away this morning is a 90-year-old man from Tangmarg area of Baramulla.
“The 90 year- old man from Baramulla was admitted on 26th June and died at 2:00 a.m early morning today. He too was suffering from Hypertension, cardiac ailments and bilateral pneumonia,” the official said.
These two deaths have taken the toll toll due to the ongoing global pandemic to 135, 120 in Kashmir while 14 people have died in Jammu region.
Srinagar district with 32 deaths has the highest fatalities followed by Baramulla (24), Kulgam (16), Shopian (13), Anantnag (11), Budgam (10), Jammu(8), Kupwara (7), Pulwama (four), Bandipora (three), Doda (2) while one death each has been reported from Ganderbal, Poonch, Udhampur, Rajouri and Kathua.
